Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) beef steak (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced against the grain
2 cups broccoli florets
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for cooking)
Optional: sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions:
Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger,
and sliced beef. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Prepare the Sauce: In another bowl, mix together the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, and
cornstarch. Set aside.
Blanch the Broccoli: Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and blanch for about 2
minutes, then drain and set aside.
Cook the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the
marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until it’s browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and
set aside.
Cook the Broccoli: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the blanched
broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they’re tender-crisp.
Combine and Finish: Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the broccoli. Give the sauce a quick
stir and then pour it over the beef and broccoli. Stir well to coat everything evenly. Cook for another
1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
Serve: Transfer the beef and broccoli stir-fry to a serving dish. Garnish with sliced green onions and
sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
