The clock is running out on the entire Trump crime family...
"You compare that to Jared Kushner, who is an unelected official who has no official role in the United States government negotiating peace in the Middle East, while he is literally being paid hundreds of millions of dollars from all of the actors in the Gulf," Hunter said to Republican commentator Ana Navarro.
"He got $2.2 billion from the Saudis. He now has grown his fund to $6.2 billion," Hunter said. "Public record, 99% of the money coming from the Gulf states, while he's negotiating a peace deal that directly impacts them. And I just say this, I got paid $200,000 a year on public record, completely verified! You can go look it up in the House Oversight Committee hearings, where people testified under oath that buying paintings that had nothing to do with anything for a sum, a grand total of $200,000 a year for me."
Pointing out the double-standard here is more than fair. Republicans relentlessly smeared Hunter, abused their congressional power to formally investigate him, and screeched endlessly about his imagined crimes. In the end, they found no evidence of corruption whatsoever. Meanwhile, the Trump family is lining their pockets in a manner previously unthinkable in the United States of America. They're ripping out everything but the copper piping at this point.
"He is making hundreds of millions of dollars being paid by the Saudis in whose interest is he representing?" asked Hunter. "And it's not just him. It's Melania selling a documentary for $40 million to Amazon, that's got a lot of issues in front of this government."
The Melania documentary, a box office bomb and critical disaster, was widely seen as an in-kind bribe to the White House. In addition to the staggering $40 million price tag, it also received a $35 million marketing push. The economics of it make no sense, unless you interpret it as a blatant effort to curry favor with the President.
"Did you see the Rolling Stone reporting on what the boys have done? The Beavis and Butthead?" Hunter said, referring to Eric and Don Jr. "$3.9 billion in DoD contracts directly to underlying companies of which they have a ownership stake in. $3.9 billion. And that's just one thing!"
Hunter went on to tear into Trump's sons for their crooked crypto scams, saying that it has "ruined" the technology "for everybody."
"They got $2.3 billion, literally, and took it from the pocket of their supporters and put it into their own pocket," he said. "He made $630 million. People don't even understand how he did it. I understand how he did it. They got over $500 million from the UAE directly into the World Liberty Financial, of which they pocketed half of it, literally pocket $1.25 billion. They make a transaction. And that's literally nothing!"
Thankfully, the bill is coming due. When Democrats retake Congress this fall we'll obtain subpoena power, at which point we can call every member of this administration to testify under oath and expose every single crime that's occurred over the past two years.
Then come the prosecutions.
