NEW: James Talarico’s campaign is fighting to unseal sworn deposition transcripts from Ken Paxton that it believes could contain deeply damaging admissions.

James Talarico’s campaign is fighting to unseal sworn deposition transcripts from Ken Paxton that it believes could contain deeply damaging admissions.

The claim is not yet proven.

Talarico’s campaign is asking a Texas court to release two depositions Paxton gave in 2019 and 2022 so voters can see exactly what he said under oath.

The transcripts come from a long-running securities fraud dispute involving Paxton, one of the few times the Texas attorney general has been forced to testify under oath.

Talarico’s lawyers argue there is no legal basis for keeping the testimony hidden from the public.

Their message is simple: Texans deserve to know what Paxton said before they vote in November.

The timing could not be worse for Paxton.

He is already carrying years of scandals, lawsuits, ethics controversies, and other baggage into one of the most competitive Texas Senate races in decades.

Now Talarico’s campaign is trying to force potentially explosive sworn testimony into the open before Election Day.

If those transcripts contain anything close to what the campaign suspects, this race could change very quickly.

James Talarico wants the documents unsealed.

Now Texans may finally get to see exactly what Ken Paxton said when he was under oath.
