President Donald Trump faced strong criticism from fellow Republicans on Wednesday during a closed-door meeting about the Iran war, Reuters reported.
The pushback included a shouting match between the president and Sen. Bill Cassidy, who had criticized the peace deal, according to several Republicans.
Also, on Wednesday, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed its inspectors would visit Iranian nuclear enrichment sites.
President Trump held several meetings at the White House to win back support for the war powers resolution.
The president was able to win back support from Sen. Bill Cassidy and Sen. Rand Paul, who have voted with Democrats on the war powers resolution recently.
