This is one of my all-time favorites. It is fantastic to take to potlucks or to a friend who is under the weather. I like eating it the next day as a cold pasta dish. Can't go wrong with this one!
Ingredients
- 16 ounces cooked spaghetti noodles
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 cup green peppers
- 1 tablespoon margarine
- 1 can chopped tomatoes (28 oz)
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 clove garlic (or 1/2 teaspoon garlic seasoning)
- 1 pound cooked ground beef (can substitute chicken or Italian sausage)
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup (use cream of chicken if you use chopped chicken, 10.5 oz)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
How To Make baked spaghetti
- Step 1Saute onion and green pepper in margarine.
- Step 2Add tomatoes, oregano, garlic, and beef. Simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally to keep from sticking.
- Step 3Place 1/2 of the cooked spaghetti in the bottom of a 9 X 13 inch greased pan.
- Step 4Top with 1/2 of veg/meat mixture. Next top with 1 cup mozzarella cheese.
- Step 5Add the rest of the pasta.
- Step 6Repeat layers.
- Step 7Mix soup and water together and spread over casserole.
- Step 8Top with Parmesan cheese.
- Step 9Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Easy to make ahead and freeze for busy days!
