Ingredients
🥩 For the Beef Filling
- 500 g (1 lb) beef, thinly sliced or shredded
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced (optional)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp mixed herbs or thyme
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
🥐 For the Pastry
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
🧈 Optional
- ½ cup grated mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Heat the oil and sauté the onions until soft.
- Add the garlic and beef, then cook until browned.
- Season with paprika, black pepper, thyme, salt, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Stir in the bell pepper and cook until the filling is thick. Let it cool completely.
- Cut the puff pastry into squares and place the filling in the center of each square.
- Add cheese if desired.
- Fold and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
