MORNING UPDATE | I honestly feel like today is the right time to say something about Donald Trump that doesn’t get talked about nearly enough. And I don’t want to stay silent about it.
Donald Trump spent his entire childhood growing up under an extraordinary spotlight. Nearly every stage of his life was photographed, analyzed, and discussed by people who had never even met him.
He was only ten years old when his father became President of the United States. At that age, most children are simply enjoying school and spending time with friends. Donald , however, found himself living in front of cameras, with strangers commenting on everything—from the way he dressed to the way he stood or whether he smiled enough.
Yet through all of those years, Trump never publicly complained. He never asked for sympathy or attention. Instead, he quietly focused on his politics great america growing from school, enrolled at NYU, and has continued building his own future on his own terms, largely away from the public spotlight.
At the State of the Union, he was there to support his father. Sitting beside Ivanka, he didn't seek attention or make headlines—he simply showed up, just as he always has.
Tonight, say a prayer for Barron Trump—for a young man who experienced a childhood unlike what most people could ever imagine.
