HE NEVER LEARNED HOW TO READ OR WRITE... YET HE HELPED HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN GO TO SCHOOL. 🥹

In 1987, in Tianjin, China, 74-year-old pedicab driver Bai Fangli was ready to retire.

But during a visit to his hometown in Hebei Province, he saw children working in the fields instead of attending school because their families couldn't afford tuition. 😢

That moment changed the rest of his life...

Although Bai was illiterate himself, he returned to Tianjin and spent the next 18 years pedaling his rickshaw every day.

He lived in a tiny room, wore second-hand clothes, and spent almost nothing on himself so he could donate nearly 350,000 yuan ($54,000) to help educate more than 300 underprivileged children. 😲

In 2001, at nearly 90 years old, he made one final trip to donate his last 500 yuan, tearfully telling the students he was too weak to keep working. 🥹

Bai passed away in 2005 with no personal wealth, yet his legacy became priceless. 🙏

The world often measures success by the things we own, the wealth we build, and the achievements we collect.

Bai Fangli showed that the greatest legacy is not what we leave behind for ourselves, but what we leave behind for others. Though he never had the chance to receive an education, he spent his life opening doors for children who did.
