💵🇺🇸 A Historic First for U.S. Currency!

President Donald Trump has unveiled a preview of the redesigned U.S. $100 bill, featuring his
signature above Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's—marking the first time in American history that a
sitting president's signature will appear on U.S. paper currency. The change is part of the U.S. 250th
anniversary initiative and ends a 165-year tradition in which the U.S. Treasurer's signature appeared
 on banknotes.

The familiar portrait of Benjamin Franklin remains unchanged. However, the new signature has

sparked nationwide discussion over presidential legacy, tradition, and the future of U.S. currency.

Meanwhile, some lawmakers continue to support a separate proposal for a $250 commemorative bill

featuring President Trump's portrait. That proposal would require changes to longstanding U.S. law,
which generally allows only deceased individuals to appear on circulating U.S. currency.
