• 1 egg (helps bind)
• 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
For assembling:
• Lettuce leaves
• Tomato slices
• Cheese slices
• Pickles (optional)
• Mayonnaise
• Ketchup
• Mustard (optional)
Method
1. Prepare the patties
• Mix minced beef, onion, garlic, seasoning, egg, and breadcrumbs in a bowl.
• Divide into 6 equal portions and shape into round patties slightly wider than the buns.
• Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes to help them hold their shape.
2. Cook the patties
• Heat a pan or grill with a little oil.
• Cook each patty for about 4–5 minutes on each side until browned and fully cooked.
• Place cheese slices on top during the last minute to melt.
3. Toast the buns
• Slice buns in half and lightly toast the inside with butter until golden.
4. Assemble the burger
• Spread mayonnaise and ketchup on the buns.
• Add lettuce, tomato, the beef patty with melted cheese, and any extra toppings.
• Cover with the top bun.
5. Serve
• Serve warm with fries, coleslaw, or a cold drink.
Tip: For a juicy burger, avoid pressing the patties while cooking because it releases the moisture.
