On the official White House account, he wished every American a blessed Good Friday. Then he posted a message that I haven't been able to stop thinking about.
He said he believes Jesus continues to watch over and bless America. He shared that this blessing is one of the reasons our nation keeps moving forward, remains a leader on the world stage, and stays resilient through every challenge. He also prayed that Jesus would continue protecting every American and guiding our country with His grace.
As I looked at these photos of President Trump sitting behind that desk—the same desk where history is made, where important decisions are made every day, and where countless hours are spent serving the nation—I couldn't help but think about a leader who takes time out of an incredibly busy schedule to encourage Americans to pause and give thanks.
To remember that faith still has a place.
To remember that true greatness comes not only from hard work, but also from God's guidance and blessings.
When my wife read his message, she paused for a moment. Then she quietly said something I'll always remember:
"He didn't have to share that today. He did it because that's what he truly believes."
Those words stayed with me, and they're exactly why I wanted to share this with you.
Today, on Good Friday, let's all take a moment to say a prayer of gratitude.
For Jesus.
For our families.
For America.
And for a President who openly expresses where he believes our nation's greatest strength truly comes from.
