Sofia and Leonor of Spain Coordinated Their National Style at the World Cup Final

Spain has officially won the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and, of course, Princess Sofia and Crown Princess Leonor once again dressed for the occasion, this time honoring their country's colors in a coordinated effort.

On July 19, the whole world tuned into the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina. When La Roja finally claimed the coveted title in overtime, with a goal from Barça player Ferran Torres, both Sofia and Leonor, as well as her parents, the King and Queen of Spain, joined the Spanish players on the podium at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium to celebrate the win, lifting the iconic golden trophy designed by Silvio Gazzaniga.

The sister duo was all smiles alongside the team, crew, and Spanish officials. Rather than going for matching outfits, the two decided to coordinate their looks, embracing opposite styling with reverse-matching pieces.

Crown Princess Leonor opted for a smart white shirt from Madrid-based brand Mirto with short cap sleeves and a ruching detail on the side, which she paired with dark red crepe pants and taupe kitten heels. Sofia, on the other hand, went for the reverse color palette, wearing a three-quarter-sleeve red shirt, which she French-tucked into a pair of loose white crepe pants. On her feet, she opted for a pair of nude slingback ballet flats from Magrit for extra comfort.

Sofia and Leonor's coordinated style didn't go unnoticed, as the two also matched their mother, Queen Letizia's, all-red dress by Adolfo Domínguez and their father, King Felipe VI's, red tie. As for accessories, Leonor wore a gold necklace with a heart-shaped pendant and gold earrings from Spanish brand CXC, while Sofia opted to keep the look simple sans jewelry.

This isn't the first time the sister duo has celebrated a World Cup win with Spain and coordinated their outfits. Back in 2010, when they were just four and three, Leonor and Sofia also celebrated their country's first World Cup win in Madrid. Back then, the two wore matching official Spanish soccer jerseys and shorts as they were handed the trophy by the national team's goalkeeper and captain, Iker Casillas.

The two supporting their team during their second-ever World Cup win 16 years later is a full-circle moment, and we have a feeling their stateside looks won't be the last we'll see. The team and the royal family are also scheduled to take part in official celebrations in Madrid, Spain's capital, on July 20.
