Turtle Caramel Cake is a decadent treat that combines the irresistible flavors of rich caramel, creamy chocolate, and crunchy pecans. Baked to perfection, this cake is a delightful fusion of sweet and nutty goodness. With just a handful of simple ingredients and minimal prep time, it’s a quick and easy dessert option for any occasion. Whether craving a sweet snack or planning a casual get-together, this Turtle Caramel Cake fits the bill. Serve it up as a satisfying end to a meal, or enjoy a slice with your afternoon coffee.

Ingredients:

¾ cup German chocolate cake mix

¾ cup milk

2 eggs

1 ¼ cups caramel bits

¼ cup canola oil

1/3 cup evaporated milk

½ cup butter, unsalted

1 ½ cup pecans, chopped

½ tub chocolate fudge frosting

¾ cup chocolate chips, milk chocolate flavor

Instructions:

  1. Coat a 9×9” baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Add cake mix, eggs, canola oil, and milk in a mixing bowl, and blend using a hand mixer until smooth.
  3. Pour half the batter into the prepared baking dish, place in the preheated oven at 350°F, and bake for 15 minutes.
  4. In the meantime, place a saucepan over medium heat, add butter, caramel bits, and evaporated milk, and stir until smooth.
  5. Pour the melted caramel mixture over the partially baked cake, followed by a layer of chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
  6. Spread the remaining cake batter over the pecans and chocolate chips, then return the baking dish to the oven for another 20 minutes of baking.
  7. Once done, remove the bake form the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.
  8. Warm the Chocolate Fudge frosting by gently stirring or heating it for 10 to 15 seconds, then evenly spread it over the cake.
  9. Spread extra chopped pecans and chocolate chips on top and place in the refrigerator.
  10. Once ready to serve, take it out of the oven, slice and serve.
