Ingredients (Serves 4)
For the Burgers:
- 800g ground beef (80/20)
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 burger buns
- 8 slices beef bacon (optional)
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 8 tomato slices
- 8 onion slices
- 8 pickle slices
- Salt and black pepper
Burger Sauce:
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp pickle relish (optional)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
French Fries:
- 4 large potatoes (or 700g frozen fries)
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- Salt
- Paprika (optional)
👨🍳 Instructions
1. Prepare the Fries
- Peel and cut the potatoes into fries.
- Soak them in cold water for 30 minutes.
- Pat dry completely.
- Fry at 160°C (320°F) for 5–6 minutes.
- Remove and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Fry again at 190°C (375°F) until golden and crispy.
- Season with salt and paprika.
2. Make the Burger Sauce
Mix together:
- Mayonnaise
- Ketchup
- Mustard
- Pickle relish
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
Refrigerate until ready to use.
3. Cook the Beef
- Divide the beef into 8 equal balls (about 100g each).
- Heat a skillet or griddle over high heat.
- Smash each ball into a thin patty.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes per side.
- Add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty during the last minute so it melts.
4. Cook the Bacon
Cook the beef bacon until crispy.
5. Toast the Buns
Toast the burger buns lightly with a little butter until golden.
6. Assemble the Burgers
Spread burger sauce on both halves of each bun.
Layer in this order:
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- First cheeseburger patty
- Second cheeseburger patty
- Crispy beef bacon
- Onion
- Pickles
- Extra burger sauce
- Top bun
7. Serve
Serve immediately with hot crispy fries and your favorite dipping sauce.
