Your landscape employees need to know how to distinguish between symptoms and signs of plant stress, what an unhealthy plant looks like, and how to begin determining causes of plant health problem. 

Videos are an effective way to train your employees. In this course, workforce training videos and knowledge check questions show entry-level workers how to recognize symptoms and signs of plant health problems, preparing them for hands-on training by supervisors or trainers in the field.

There are four sections in the course. Each section has a quiz at the end. You will need to achieve a score greater than 80% on the quizzes in order to pass this course and receive a certificate of completion.

When you pass this course, you will earn a certificate of completion and 4 PDA pesticide applicator recertification credits in one of the following areas:

PC - Private Category
06 - Ornamental and Shade Trees
18 - Demonstration and Research
23 - Park / School Pest Control

(Note: A successfully completed online course will count as PDA pesticide recertification credits only once in the lifetime of the applicator. It may take 2 to 4 weeks for recertification credits to be reported to and verified by PDA.)

This course also qualifies for 2 Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturist (PCH) continuing education units (CEUs). To obtain this credit, complete the course and earn a certificate of completion. Then submit your certificate of completion when you submit your CEUs to the Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association.
