Prince William and Kate Middleton Were Caught in a Sweet PDA Moment—And We Can’t Get Enough

 

Prince William and Kate Middleton seem more in love than ever.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2011, attended the DMMI Royal Charity Polo Cup on July 10, 2026, in Windsor, England, where William saddled up to show off his skills—for a good cause. The annual match raises money for charities chosen by the Prince and Princess of Wales, including the Wales Air Ambulance, the Royal College of Paramedics and the Forward Trust, to name a few.

Princess Kate, who looked just darling in a black-and-white gingham dress, cheered for her husband from the sidelines. After the match, the mother-of-three took part in the prize-giving presentation. When she took the field, she and William shared a few rare moments of public affection. At one point, the two embraced and Kate planted a small kiss on her husband’s cheek. Then, Kate was pictured with her arm around William’s waist. As the two turned to leave, they walked hand-in-hand, which isn’t something that royal watchers often get to witness.

The royal family has always been rather prim and proper and rarely displays affection during public engagements. While small gestures like a touch on the arm or a reassuring hand on the back aren’t uncommon, hugs, kisses and hand-holding are much less frequent. That’s exactly why William and Kate’s sweet interaction caught the attention of royal fans.

In 2023, royal etiquette expert Myka Meier told People magazine that there’s actually no hard rule against royals showing public displays of affection. However, the royal family has traditionally opted for a more reserved approach during official engagements, choosing to keep affectionate moments to a minimum while representing the monarchy.

The sweet exchange was a reminder that behind the royal titles and public duties, William and Kate are still a couple who enjoy sharing quiet moments of affection with one another—even after 15 years together.
