Ingredients:
2 small beef steaks (sirloin or filet mignon work best)
10-12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup heavy cream
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt, pepper, and a pinch of dried parsley to taste
Instructions:
1. Prep the Proteins: Pat your steaks and shrimp dry with a paper towel. Season both lightly with salt and pepper.
2. 2. Sear the Steak:Heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook for 3–5 minutes per side (depending on your preferred doneness). Remove steaks from the pan and let them rest on a plate.
3.Cook the Shrimp: In the same pan, add the shrimp. Sauté for about 2–3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp and set aside with the steak.
4. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter and the minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens slightly.
5.Serve: Return the steak and shrimp to the pan just long enough to coat them in the creamy garlic sauce. Garnish with a sprinkle of dried parsley.
Serve this alongside some steamed asparagus or a fluffy baked potato for a wonderful, cozy dinner.
